The Organization
How the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is organized within the United States.
The National Office (Council) of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul continues to operate in the greater St. Louis area. The Society divides the United States into regions. Virginia is in the Eastern Region. Within the Diocese of Arlington, the ten Conferences operate under a District Council. The presidents of each of these ten conferences are the board of directors of the Diocesan Council. Each of the ten Conferences in the Diocese of Arlington, was created within a Catholic parish, but operates as a separate entity.
